Boston Calling Music Festival will look a little different this year.
The indie-rock festival is returning to the Harvard Athletic Complex from May 23 to 25, but fans can expect to see some changes.
“We’ve been working hard to elevate your experience and enhance the value of your ticket,” organizers wrote in a social media post last week.

One of the changes includes the two main stages becoming one rotating stage, offering better views and more space to roam around the grounds. Additionally, more water stations will be added throughout the festival grounds, and an indoor, air-conditioned area will return.
Additionally, organizers revealed that ticket prices will decrease this year; last year, a one-day general admission ticket went for $189, followed by a three-day pass at $383.
The news follows multiple reports of safety concerns during last year’s event, including overcrowding and medical emergencies. Many concertgoers complained that they were crushed, pushed, or had panic attacks in the crowd, resulting in nearly 800 medical encounters throughout the weekend.
Following the complaints, organizers noted that the attendee count was “several thousand below the official capacity rating of the site,” however, “we never want anyone to feel uncomfortable or unsafe at the show.”
Last year’s edition featured Ed Sheeran, Tyler Childers, and The Killers. The 2025 lineup is set to go live on Monday.
