Broadway’s ‘Proof’ to Welcome Adrienne Warren

Tony Award winner Adrienne Warren will join the Broadway revival of “Proof,” taking over the role of Claire beginning June 30 at Booth Theatre.

Warren replaces Kara Young, who is scheduled to play her final performance June 28. Young will depart the production to take part in “The Whoopi Monologues” at Lincoln Center Theater.

Warren most recently appeared in the New York City Center Encores! production of “The Wild Party,” earning a Drama League Award nomination. Her recent Broadway credits also include the revival of “The Last Five Years” alongside Nick Jonas. In 2021, she won the Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical for her performance in Tina: The Tina Turner Musical.

The production is directed by Thomas Kail and features original music by Kris Bowers. The creative team also includes scenic designer Teresa L.
