“RiverBeat brings together legendary artists, modern hitmakers, and Memphis originals for a weekend that truly reflects the soul of this city,” said Jeff Bransford, festival producer at Mempho Presents.
“There’s nothing quite like experiencing this music on the riverfront, and we’re proud to continue building RiverBeat as a cultural moment that’s uniquely Memphis.”
While the festival features nationally known acts, RiverBeat will again spotlight Memphis artists and institutions. Programming led by Lawrence “Boo” Mitchell of Royal Studios will feature the Hi Rhythm Section, paying tribute to the city’s soul legacy. Memphis Rap OGz are also set to perform, hosted by Al Kapone and DJ Zirk, with appearances from Tela, Gangsta Blac, Frayser Boy, Kia Shine and Tom Skeemask. DJ Bizzle Bluebland of WYXR and DJ Superman of Hot 107.1 are also part of the showcase.
Additional local and regional acts on the lineup include Hope Clayburn’s Soul Scrimmage, Dead Soldiers, Optic Sink and Turnstyles.
