Dolly Parton will no longer be taking over the Sin City this year.
The country icon took to social media to share that her upcoming Las Vegas residency is cancelled, citing her ongoing health issues.
“The good news is: I’m responding really well to meds and treatments and I’m improving every day,” she said in an Instagram video on Monday. “Now the bad news is: it’s going to take me a little while before I’m up to stage performance level because some of the meds and treatments make me a little bit ‘shimmy’ headed, as my grandma used to say.”
She added that she’s comparable to “an old classic car that once restored can be better than ever.”
”When they raised the hood on this old antique, they realized that I need to rebuild my engine and that my transmission is slipping, my oil pan is leaking and my muffler’s busted and my shocks and pistons need to be replaced,” Parton said.
She went on to note that she’s “always had problems” with kidney stones, joking that “they dig ore stones out of me a year than the rock quarry in Rockwood, Tennessee.” Over the last three years, Parton said her immune and digestive systems have been “all out of whack” and “they’re working real hard on rebuilding and strengthening those.”
Despite the health struggles, Parton said she has “great doctors” and she’s “doing really well.”
“They assure me that everything I have is treatable,” Parton said. “So I’m going with that.”
Parton previously had to postpone her Las Vegas concerts in 2025 to focus on her health.
